The deadline for applications is 25th April 2012.

You must be a non-published* writer based in the UK or the Republic ofIreland.
You can enter in either of two categories, with the winner of each receiving a prize:
(a) professional scientists of postgraduate level and above
(b) anyone else with a non-professional interest in science, including undergraduate students.

Oxbridge-London Biotech Roundtable Presents:

How IP turns scientific breakthroughs into profitable ventures

WHAT: Two professionals with extensive experience in advising their clients on how to protect their ideas and create value from them are joined in a panel discussion by the recent founder of a medical imaging company. Focusing on the biotech sector, they will be discussing the critical importance of IP, potential pitfalls, how to know how much one’s ideas are worth and much more. Speakers
Quinton Fivelman is the Business Development Manager of IP Pragmatics, who help their clients identify, manage and create value from a broad range of intellectual property assets through a combination of value creation and cost management services. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as well as the Director and co-founder of the education provider Enter-rise Ltd as well as a member of the non-profit research group DevelopMed.
Janita Good is a partner at the Reading office of the law firm Osborne Clarke and head of the Life Science Sector (Thames Valley). Her work focuses on corporate and intellectual property transactions, especially in the biotechnology sector, underpinned by her D.Phil. in biochemistry. She is a member of a range of professional bodies and sits on the IP advisory board for the Bio Industry Association.
